GS 0278
A beautiful little church by the sea, no longer used for regular services, filled with character.
Set right on the coastal path in a stone-walled graveyard, this church is simple yet beautiful inside and out. With a classic deep porch as the main entrance, you enter midway along the aisle and are immediately amongst the wooden Victorian pews. The pulpit and altar also remain, and are in very good condition. The walls offer great texture, with sections of exposed stonework and masonry creating a striking patina, along with simple diamond lead-framed windows. The building is of mixed origin, with some walls dating back to medieval times!
This is a lovely little church, or maybe chapel would be a more accurate description. Set amongst a quaint church yard at the end of a quiet wooded lane, with the lovely bonus of just a nose through the hedgeline and you're facing the sea!
Flexible and open to all kinds of filming and photography, this is a fantastic location in which to shoot your next church scene.
